380 interested people accepted the invitation to the "Marketplace of Ideas" in Bad Ischl
Artists, creatives, entrepreneurs, funding, politics & tourism met for exchange
Salzkammergut 2024: Last Friday (May 6), artists and creative professionals met with business, politics, tourism, cultural managers and various funding platforms. 380 interested people accepted the invitation to network, to create synergies and ideally to find implementation possibilities for their ideas. Artistic director Elisabeth Schweeger and commercial director Manuela Reichert opened the event and expressed their enthusiasm about the great interest in culture and the high potential for creativity in the region. At the Open Call in fall 2021, more than 1000 projects were submitted, only a part of which will be able to be realized. The first Marketplace of Ideas was an initial event to draw public attention to so much interest in art and culture as well as to enable further potential realization opportunities. The participants met for lively and productive discussions, ideas were deepened and further plans were already made.
The transdisciplinary performance "being both" by Hannah Wimmer and Maximilian Prag opened the discussion space that afternoon. The performer experienced abstract digital worlds through VR glasses and discovered her physicality in virtuality. Afterwards, moderator Eva Pölzl mediated between the people and topics that arose at the many stations. A big thank you to the Chamber of Commerce and the partners* who spoiled the guests with culinary delights. Raiffeisenbank Salzkammergut supported the event among other things with a buffet of ecologically sustainable finger food, bright awake could stay the attendees by the freshly prepared Hrovats Cafe. The musical conclusion accompanied THE DiRTY - Free Radio Salzkammergut / Apparat Vadraht - Harald Reiter-Gaisberger.
23 for 24!
23 municipalities are working together for a successful European Capital of Culture in Salzkammergut 2024. The lively participation of the Mayors and cultural representatives at the Marketplace of Ideas once again underscores the motto of the introductory campaign.
