Doris Uhlich, Austrian choreographer and performer, develops projects in various formats – from stage pieces to site-specific performances. She works with people of different biographies and physical inscriptions, opens up the dance floor to people with physical disabilities, shows the potential of nudity beyond simple eroticisation and provocation or examines the relationship between man and machine in a multi-layered way. Powder dance
Based on the legendary solo “Pudertanz” from 2010, Doris Uhlich creates a performance for the opening of the Capital of Culture 2024. The Attersee-born choreographer and her ensemble stir up dust. Bodies dancing in clouds of powder make waves, vibrate, let their fat dance and celebrate physical diversity and individual beauty.
