Helga Kromp-Kolb is an emeritus university professor of meteorology and climatology at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, where she also founded and directed the Center for Global Change and Sustainability. As a university teacher and researcher, she is concerned with issues of climate change, sustainable development, transformation of society, education for sustainable development, and the need for paradigm shifts in science and society. She was instrumental in founding the Climate Change Center Austria (CCCA) as well as the Alliance of Sustainable Universities in Austria and is a member of the steering committee of the cross-university project UniNEtZ.
