More about the contributor

1956*.

“Inherited handicrafts and items of clothing, things that have been removed and unpicked, mispurchased yard goods and leftovers really fly to me. They want to be transformed and lead a purposeless, autonomous existence. That’s why I research all materials, feel the surface and structure, play with them, experiment and take risks! I constantly check myself, leave very little to chance, go about my work carefully. This is another reason why textiles are “my” language. It doesn’t require quick decisions and gives me enough time to think.”
