Born in 1985 in Vienna, where she lives as a freelance writer and voice artist. She studied graphic design, law (University of Vienna) as well as medical law (JKU Linz), completed courses in writing pedagogy (BÖS) and literary writing (Institute for Narrative Art Lower Austria), and also trained as a speaker and singer. Her debut novel was published in fall 2022 by Matthes & Seitz Berlin (raw material), she published in literary magazines (e.g. Die Rampe) and anthologies. In 2022-2023 she received a long-term project grant for literature from the BKA, in 2021/22 a project grant from the City of Vienna, and a working grant from the City of Vienna 2020. Her debut novel was awarded a start-up grant for literature in 2019. Julia is a member of the Graz Authors’ Assembly (GAV) and the ÖSV.
