Karla Schmutzer lives in Upper Austria/Almtal since 2021, where she was responsible for „Treibgut“ a space for culinary and cultural exchange. As an art educator and political scientist, she has taught at various types of schools as well as at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. In the project DAMALS? she is further explores art-based research methods as well as her interest in pedagogical processes that take (unequal) power relations into consideration and seek to transform them.
