Sidiki YOUGBARÉ is the artistic director of Association Kala-Kala Théâtre and the organizer of the Rencontres Internationales de Théâtre en Langues Maternelles (Les RITLAMES). He is an actor, writer, director and film actor.

In the year 2004 he began writing his own plays in the national language of Mossi: the language of the people, the majority; with this, he ushered in a new kind of dramatic literature in his country, Burkina Faso. Some of his plays have been premiered and produced in Africa and Europe. As a translator, he has adapated and/or translated the following plays, amongst others: Antigone by Sophocles, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, A Petites Pierres by Gusta Akakpo, La Mort de Tintagilles by M. Maeterlinck, Mam Gulsda Yamb Depuis Paris by Aristide Tarnagda and Alexandre Kouchevsky, Retrouvailles by Edoxi Gnoula, Façon d’aimer by Aristide Tarnagda, et cetera.
