Performer

Simon Wehrli (*1983, Switzerland) graduated from the Scuola Teatro Dimitri and went on to study contemporary dance at Trinity Laban in London (UK). Since then he has toured extensively in Europe, Africa and the USA as part of the movement theatre Spettatori and the dance improvisation group 50collective. As a dancer, actor and musician, Simon creates his own pieces, but is and has also worked for choreographers in London, New York and Brussels. Since 2010 he has been regularly involved in projects by Venezuelan dancer and teacher David Zambrano. In 2013 his first solo production “Greatest Hits” premiered in co-production with Tanzhaus Zürich.

Simon teaches and has taught at the following institutions among others: Laban London (UK), Dance New Amsterdam (New York City, USA), ImpulsTanz Vienna (A), Open Look St. Petersburg (RU), Tanzhaus Zürich (CH), Konzert Theater Bern (CH), Plesna Izba Maribor (SI).
