More about the contributor

Vento Sul is a collective of music and groove creators rooted in the soil of the Afro-Brazilian rhythm landscape, performing as an ensemble in 10 to 20-piece formations. Their joy in performing, their collegial cohesion and their powerful interpretation of percussive music are the foundation for their own earthy sound and their characteristic feeling in music and movement – some of their qualities that inspire and grab the audience, naturally leading them to get into the groove and dance. Vento Sul looks back on twenty years of history and has become a group that is constantly evolving. They are friends with various initiatives in the multicultural art scene and support civic initiatives with social aspirations through their performances.
