As locations, the premises of the drawing collection in Schloss Hochhaus, the Tanglberg gallery and the guesthouse Schloss Hochhaus in Vorchdorf are available. The Renaissance building Schloss Hochhaus with its representative rooms has become the home for a significant collection of drawings. The quality of architecture as well as that of the art on paper strengthen each other complementarily.
Erich Spitzbart opened the Tanglberg gallery at the address Pettenbacherstraße 3 in Vorchdorf in 1984 – a gallery for contemporary art. Today, the gallery’s schedule of programming includes different forms of visual art such as painting, conceptual art, sculpture, print graphics and drawings. Numerous exhibitions with works of the classical modern and contemporary art document an intensive exchange with artists. Drawing has formed the focus since the very beginning and has developed into a comprehensive collection.
