Elisabeth Schweeger, born in Vienna. Artistic director of the Capital of Culture Bad Ischl - Salzkammergut 2024 GmbH. Studied comparative literature and philosophy in Innsbruck, Vienna and Paris. Active as curator: Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Venice Biennale, Ars Electronica Linz, Documenta Kassel, OK Linz and Landesgalerie Linz (including DonauArt /HÖHENRAUSCH 2018) among others. Journalist and cultural manager: artistic director of the Marstall / Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel (1993 - 2001), chief dramaturge at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel, artistic director of Schauspiel Frankfurt (2001 - 2009), artistic director of KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen, Hannover (2009 - 2015). Managing Director/Artistic Director of the Akademie für Darstellende Kunst Baden-Württemberg (2014 - 2022). Elisabeth Schweeger lives and works in Germany and Austria.

Sonja Zobel is a Producer and Cultural Manager who studied acting in London and returned to Bad Goisern following Brexit. In 2018 she founded the Wolfgangsee Summer Theater, which has enjoyed great success and acclaim. She has performed at the London Classic Theater, the Salzburger Landestheater and the TATU Theater, among others. Her heart belongs to the theater, especially young audiences and participatory projects.

Manuela Reichert grew up in Salzburg and has lived in Upper Austria since 1992. After studying business administration at the JKU and graduating from the ICCM University of Applied Sciences, she has worked as a Managing Director in the cultural sector for over 20 years. Of these, she worked for 18 years in the Kulturpark Traun and for 2 years for the Philharmonie Salzburg and the Children's Festival. As an enthusiastic singer in a blues band, she has experience not only of cultural management, but also the stage itself.

Marion Jansky made many beautiful stopovers on her journey to the Salzkammergut. Born and raised in Bischofshofen, she later moved to Graz to complete a Masters degree in History, visiting Admont and Budapest for lectures at international symposia along the way. For the past five years, she has worked in Vienna at the Palais Liechtenstein, the former stately home of the noble Liechtenstein family, where - in addition to many other activities - she organized tours for international visitors and directed and coordinated associated initiatives in art education. She has traveled to over 50 countries on four continents – and summited many mountains in the Salzkammergut. Home is, after all, where the heart is.

Lisa Neuhuber ist in Ebensee aufgewachsen und nach Zwischenstopps in Amsterdam und Wien wieder im Salzkammergut gelandet. Sie ist unter anderem Kultur- und Sozialanthropologin, war Vorstandsmitglied bei der KUPF OÖ, dem Verein Gedenkdienst und lange Jahre in der Vermittlung von Zeitgeschichte aktiv. Aktuell engagiert sie sich im Kulturverein Kino Ebensee, dem Frauenforum Salzkammergut und dem Verein Zeitgeschichte Museum Ebensee. Von Beginn an war sie maßgeblich an der Bewerbung zur Kulturhauptstadt Europas 2024 beteiligt. Als Projektleiterin kümmert sie sich nunmehr um Entwicklung und Umsetzung des Programms, insbesondere in den inhaltlichen Bereichen (NS-)Geschichte, Erinnerungskultur und Tradition/kulturelles Erbe sowie in den regionalen Museen. Regionalentwicklung und interdisziplinäres Denken liegen ihr besonders am Herzen.

Eva Maria Mair, born in Kirchdorf / Krems (Upper Austria), splits her time between Bad Ischl and Vienna. She graduated in “Social Design: Arts as Urban Innovation” (University of Applied Arts Vienna), Spatial Planning and Spatial Planning (TU Vienna University of Technology) and Political Science (University of Vienna). She has worked at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Cairo and at the Federal Chamber for Architects and Civil Engineers, as well as in various independent projects at the interface of urban & regional development, art and socio-political issues.

Christian Haselmayr was Commercial and Artistic Director of the KV KAPU in Linz for much of his career. After a stay in Berlin, where he worked in Business Development at Club Tresor, he has most recently been working for the music agency Spoon in Vienna and for the non-commercial TV broadcaster DORFTV in Linz. He has also worked independently in the fields of music, art and culture as well as political education. He curates the Musiknightline of the Crossing Europe Film Festival and is a member of the Cultural Council of the City of Linz as well as a board member of the Upper Austria Culture Platform (KUPF).

Petra Zechmeister graduated from the University of Industrial and Artistic Design with Prof. Gsöllpointner in Linz. From 2001 she lived and worked in New York for 15 years. She has participated in countless exhibition projects and cross-media projects (photography, video and film) as well as screenings at home and abroad. Since 2016 she is back in Austria, internationally well connected and established in cultural management at the intersection of communication and art. For Bad Ischl - Salzkammergut 2024 she is curator for the field of visual arts.

Stefan Heinisch grew up in Ansfelden and, after stopovers in destination management in Salzburg and Carinthia, landed back in Upper Austria (Almtal). Among other things, he is a trained hotel manager and studied tourism management and leisure business in Krems with stays abroad in Philadelphia (USA) and Florence (Italy). In 2018-19, as project manager and part of the bid team, he was jointly responsible for the award to Salzkammergut. After the founding phase of the Capital of Culture Bad Ischl - Salzkammergut 2024 GmbH, he also briefly acted as managing director from August 2020 and is now responsible for the areas of tourism, mobility and regional cooperation.

Christina Jaritsch has returned to the Salzkammergut after studying in Vienna, Nancy and Havana. She studied prolifically - Political Science, Philosophy, Romance Languages and Literature, Economics, German as a Foreign Language, and German Philology. After graduating in Political Science from the University of Vienna under Birgit Sauer in 2019, she actually only wanted to make a short stopover in Ebensee, but ended up staying longer. After her return to the Salzkammergut, she headed the LEADER project “Marktschwärmerei” at the Salzkammergut Frauenforum (Women's Forum), worked as a freelance editor for Austrian online and print media (e.g. mokant.at, Die Furche) and completed an apprenticeship in agriculture. With her newly acquired knowledge she experiments at her parents' farm in Ebensee am Traunsee.

Marian Holzmüller graduated in theatre, film and media Studies at the University of Vienna. His master's thesis was dedicated to the topic "Cinema and Cellar - A Typology of the Cellar in Film". In addition to his passion for film, he has also pursued his love for music in recent years as one of the organizers of a local music festival in Weitra. He also worked as an office manager for the EU funding agency in the Interreg program Slovakia - Austria. For Bad Ischl - Salzkammergut 2024, he has now moved his residence from Vienna to Bad Ischl in order to be the central hub of daily business for our team and our guests.

Maria Neumayr-Wimmer completed a double apprenticeship as a retail saleswoman as well as decoration and interior design and started her own business as a window dresser for international brands at a young age. She held key positions with the Upper Austrian Green Party for over a decade before taking on responsibility as managing director of WearFair, Europe's largest eco-fair trade fair. After studying intercultural skills at Danube University Krems, she has also worked in photography and videography as part of marandjosef, including documentaries in Kenya and Ethiopia. Maria is the mother of two grown-up daughters and lives in Altmünster.  marandjosef auch foto- und videografisch gearbeitet, unter anderem für Dokumentationen in Kenya und Äthiopien. Maria ist Mutter zweier erwachsener Töchter und lebt in Altmünster.

Bärbel Seidler was involved in cultural tourism projects, worked in regional development, city marketing and adult education until she settled down in municipal cultural management. Frauenakademie Mühlviertel, Stadtmarketing Enns, Kulturamt Leonding and Schloss Traun are some of her stations. She is permanently associated with the Galerie Seidler. Her training as a tourism businesswoman and her later master's degree at the Institute for Cultural Management at mdw give her a solid background. She enjoys solving tricky situations with creative ideas.
