Reading and slide presentation: A life for art

In Judith Zillich’s (*1969, lives and works in Vienna) series of images rosa Overall, or Pink Overalls, the Obertraun writer Hansjörg Zauner (*1959, † 2017) wears his favorite piece of clothing, which was also his signature feature as the “pink panther of Austrian literature”. The purportedly feminine pink suit characterizes a man in an uncertain gender role. The pictures dis-played in the municipal office in Obertraun tell the story of the loneliness of a person who does not fit into the norms of (rural) society. Alongside Zillich’s pictures, Zauner’s short films and collages are also waiting to be discovered: an overall moving show!
