"The Thinking Heart" - Texts by Stefan Zweig and David Grossmann
Read by: Michael Maertens

In the reading at the opening of the “European Theatre Festival”, Burg actor Michael Maertens juxtaposes works by Stefan Zweig with texts by David Grossmann. Stefan Zweig’s radical call for European unification in the spirit of humanism meets David Grossmann’s literary reflections on the crisis in the Middle East. Two unconditional fighters for empathy and against hatred question the possibility of peace in violent times.
