Description

World premiere
Co-production by Bodø 2024 (Norway) and Festival sur le Niger (Mali)

De(con)fining is an expressive dance performance diving into the bodily traces of emotions, personal history and social boundaries. Two Norwegian and two Malian dancers meet in this physical manifestation of the text Rájiid(haga) by Kathrine Nedrejord and Salimata Togora. With an emphasis on the capabilities and confinements of the physical body, the dancers move in harmony with the music, composed and performed by Håvard Lund.

Choreography Pernille Øien
Dancers Katerina Jitlatda Horup Solvang, Aasa Frøystein, Bibata Ibrahim Maiga, Kadidja Tiemanta
Music Håvard Lund
Light Charles Wadel-Ellingsen
