Putting the theoretical and practical knowledge of proven construction techniques into practice in one’s own home is a more difficult and time-consuming undertaking. With our “house visits” in several selected buildings in the Salzkammergut, the workshop participants enter into an exciting dialogue with the respective builders/occupants, who also report on the inevitable mistakes and hoppalas in DIY construction. However, these “blurbs” are not a problem, more than that, they are almost a fixed component of the concept of “Simple Smart Buildings”.
