The Landestheater Linz is expanding its theater education program beyond the central region of the state capital and is working locally with people from the Capital of Culture region as part of the Capital of Culture 2024. The ideas and stories of the participants condition the artistic work in order to give space to their feelings and worlds of thought and to enable their expression in an artistic framework. Local encounters and spaces of experience feed a theatrical-scenic “testing” and togetherness is emphasized when staff members of the theater mediation department of the Landestheater Linz spend a week on site working with people on the topics that move the participants. The participants research, rehearse and develop together, and the end result is an exciting presentation – on location, with people on location, for people on location.
