Helping out at Pride

When the rainbow flags fly in the heart of the Salzkammergut, it is also an invitation to the public to show solidarity, because help and support is still needed. Both in front of and behind the scenes, there are countless opportunities to get actively involved. Companies, organisations, associations and private individuals are cordially invited to get involved, whether as helpers, private donations, donations in kind or sponsorship.
More information can be found at https://www.salzkammerqueer.at/pride/pride-2024/

Our first SalzkammerPride is being planned by a colourful group of committed queers and allies. Above all, we are united by a personal connection to the Salzkammergut (even though not all of us live here) and the desire to set a visible sign for diversity and acceptance in the region with a happy and peaceful Pride. This event is organised purely on a voluntary basis and is financed by private donations, but is an associated project of the European Capital of Culture.

Salzkammerqueer

In order to facilitate the exchange of experiences among like-minded people and those looking for a queer community in rural areas, the Frauen*anlaufstellen are contributing to the establishment of a queer community in the Salzkammergut with this project. The aim is to initially provide a home base and infrastructure for an active community that will exist beyond the duration of the project. The second goal is an experimental short film series and artistic photo positions that communicate queer life in the Salzkammergut via social media.

ClimateWalk https://www.salzkammergut-2024.at/en/veranstaltungen/climatewalk-2/ Wed, 07 Feb 2024 12:46:58 +0000 https://www.salzkammergut-2024.at/veranstaltungen/climatewalk-2/ On Saturday afternoon, the participants of the Open Water Dialogues take to the streets of Bad Ischl's town centre for a ClimateWalk. The Artists for Future Austria invite you to the rally with the sea of flags, accompanied by the drumming group Vento Sul. The FAHNENMEER project was launched in 2020 by Peer and Stella Bach. In doing so, they are sending out an artistic protest signal and building on militant art traditions that use art to draw attention to political and social issues. We don't have to save the earth. It is enough if we stop destroying it! The numerous crises of the present show us that the exploitation of the earth's resources has been exceeded.
