Volunteers

We are all Capital of Culture - Be part of it!

We are looking for committed volunteers who want to support events and projects and be part of the Capital of Culture 2024.

Register now!

Volunteers are the driving force behind every European Capital of Culture as they bring people together through culture and community, overcoming social and cultural barriers.

Our aim is to actively involve people of all ages and backgrounds from the region in this exciting year and offer an insight into the organisation of such an event alongside exciting tasks.

We want to create a community that can grow over the course of the project year, bring people together across regions and continue beyond 2024.

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to become part of our volunteer network, make friends, gain experience and help shape projects at regional and international level!

What’s in it for you?

  • Community: You will be part of a vibrant community that will be built over the year 2024 – here you can participate in regular meetings and build valuable friendships
  • International projects will allow you to interact with people from all over the world
  • In addition to the exciting experiences, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of cultural management
  • Catering at the events
  • Free tickets and discounts: As a thank you for your commitment, you will receive free tickets and discounts for selected Capital of Culture 2024 events

Cooperation with schools, universities and other institutions:

There is the opportunity to complete internships through the Capital of Culture volunteering programme. Institutions such as schools or universities that are interested in a cooperation can contact the Volunteer Coordinator directly: volunteers@salzkammergut-2024.at

Art and culture provide a meaningful platform for the exchange of skills and knowledge, so sign up as a volunteer with us now to be part of the European Capital of Culture 2024!
