More about the contributor

2MVD was founded by architects Valie Messini and Damjan Minovski in 2017 to explore the connection between built architecture and digital art, as well as the virtual expansion of our experiential and living worlds made possible by new digital technologies. Valerie Messini and Damjan Minovski graduated in architecture from the University of Applied Arts (Studio Prix) in Vienna in 2011. Since then they have been working as independent artists in the fields of architecture, visual and digital art. Both have worked for renowned architecture firms, Valie Messini as a design architect and Damjan Minovski as a freelance visual artist. Since 2013 they have also been active in academia, both in teaching and research.

Valie Messini, Damjan Minovski and Eva Schlegel have been working together repeatedly since 2012/over 10 years. They realised several large-scale installations and since 2020 augmented reality works.
