Agnes Peschta has been involved as a cultural worker in various associations since 1999, e.g: IG Kultur Wien, mo:e. She has been active at Lames/Solektiv in St. Pölten since 2006, including setting up the free university, annual program planning, funding applications, editorial management of an anniversary publication, moderations, summer cinema and several times in a board function. Professionally, after various activities in the arts and culture sector, she is a teacher of arts and crafts at secondary level 1 and 2 in a grammar school in Vienna. Artistically, she works in the context of social policy and women, including the visualization of women’s biographies using the example of Gerda Matejka Felden. To date, this has resulted in accessible walks and interventions in cooperation with other female artists. As part of Tangente – Festival for Contemporary Culture 2024, she is producing an audio walk with the artists’ collective neonpink for the Tangente art trail “The Way of the Water”.
