More about the contributor

Her enthusiasm for mountains and nature inspired Elisabeth Spitzer to study geography. She has always been fascinated by high mountains and landscape-forming ice and glacier dynamics and their reaction to the climate. To pursue this passion, she works as a ski instructor in Grossarl, as an ice cave guide on the Dachstein and as a guide and lecturer in the Antarctic and Arctic, where she was able to get to know the rich culture of the Inuit.
