More about the contributor

Karin Forslund (born 1984) was educated at the National School of Glass in Sweden, earned a BA in Glass from the Royal Danish Academy on Bornholm, and an MFA in Glass from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her work explores material and technique, ranging from “Balancing Process,” which investigates material composition and craftsmanship, to “Acts of Transparency,” delving into intimate experiences, invisibility, and resilience. She was awarded the bronze Hetsch Medal of Craft and won the first prize at the European Glass Context. Her works have been exhibited internationally, including at YoungGlass and New Glass Now at the Corning Museum of Glass. Karin is currently based at Haugesund, Norway.
