Reinhard Steurer is Associate Professor of Climate Policy at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU) Vienna. He has been working for many years on the political dimension of the climate crisis in general and on the political significance of excuses and bogus climate protection in all areas of society in particular. Steurer studied political science at the University of Salzburg (Mag.phil. 1997 and Dr.phil. 2001), completed a Master in Public Policy (MPP, 2002) at the University of Maryland/USA and habilitated in comparative politics at the BOKU Vienna in 2013. He has authored more than 70 articles, book chapters and books, given over 100 presentations and even more lectures at four universities. His work has been published in renowned scientific journals such as “Policy Sciences” or “Climate Policy”. Steurer provides information on current developments in climate policy on Twitter @ReiSteurer and supports climate movements such as “Fridays for Future” as a Scientist for Future.
