Description

SAMO SALAMON, ARILD ANDERSEN & PATRICE HÉRAL
Guitarist Samo Salamon, one of the most important players in modern  jazz in Europe, and Arild Anderson, one of the most renowned bassists in the history of European jazz, join forces with Patrice Héral.

In 2022, the band released their first album "Pure and Simple" (with Bob Moses on drums), which they also presented on an extensive and fantastic European tour. Extremely melodic, but at the same time very modern! The new version of the trio with Paul Wertico creates a new album in the summer of 2023.

Samo Salamon has recorded more than 30 albums as a bandleader, with many outstanding jazz musicians. The renowned English publisher Penguin Books has chosen Salamon's album "Ornethology" as one of the 1001 best records in the history of jazz music. Samo has also been our guest in Bad Ischl, in 2010 in the PKS-Villa, with Michel Godard and Roberto Dani.

Arild Andersen began his career in the 1960s in the bands of Jan Garbarek, Terje Rypdal, Don Cherry, Bobo Stenson, Sonny Rollins and many others. He has released more than 30 albums for ECM Records. By the way, his penultimate CD was made in 2016 after an ORF recording at the PKS Villa Bad Ischl (In-House Science, live recording from September 29, 2016, Arild Andersen, Paolo Vinaccia, Tommy Smith).

Patrice Héral has been one of the most important jazz and improv drummers in Europe since the mid-1980s. He played with musicians like Terje Rypdal, Nguyên Lê, Renaud Garcia-Fons, Wolfgang Puschnig, Dhafer Youssef, Antonello Salis, Furio Di Castri, Paolo Fresu, Tom Cora, Iva Bittová, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Michel Portal, Chano Domínguez, Charlie Mariano, Ferenc Snétberger, Steve Swallow, Ralph Towner, John Taylor und Maria Pia De Vito.
