More about the contributor

Psychoanalyst

While studying Comparative Religion in Athens, Tübingen and later in Zurich, I began to lie on the Freudian couch and explore my unconscious with my psychoanalyst. This work led to a career change. From 1986 to 2016, I worked as a Freudian psychoanalyst in my own practice in Zurich. In the 90s I had the spontaneous idea to apply for the curatorship of an art exhibition. Since then I have been as intensively involved with art as with psychoanalysis. “How can we give weight to lightness?”

Jeannette Fischer is interested in any forms and dynamics of a relationship, not least as an expression in the work of art or as its biographical drive.
