As a theatre maker, he collectively explores the millions of years of soil history with artists from other disciplines. He has created installations, films and performances in Berlin, Leipzig and Hallbergmoos.

Until 2014, he was head of the International Forum of the Berliner Festspiele theatre festival for nine years. From 2002 to 2004, he was dramaturge at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin.
