The union of salon culture and the women’s* circle. Borrowing from historical models of salon culture of the late 19th century, the artist invites discourse into a living space that shaped her childhood. A summer kitchen in a former barn functions as an intimate setting in which people eat and drink together and an open exchange takes place. It is planned to meet four times – twice in spring and twice in autumn 2024. The focus of the women’s circle is the exchange of experiences among the artists on topics such as the “female working body” and “the task of being a woman”. Workshops and performances will be held to support the form of the salon and the theme.
