The Agenda
In his award-winning novel "The Agenda", Éric Vuillard looks into the back rooms of European rulers before the catastrophe of the Second World War: he impressively and succinctly exposes the ridiculous and appalling behaviour of the political and economic elite that led to the Nazi takeover, the annexation of Austria and the outbreak of war. A historical view of the European continent from the present, read by chamber actor and honorary member of the Burgtheater Klaus Maria Brandauer, with Magdalena Hasibeder playing the organ.
