The piano virtuoso and composer Friedrich Gulda (1930 – 2000) is considered one of the most versatile and innovative musicians of the 20th century. His life and work at Lake Attersee will be honoured with the opening of the new concert format “Salon Gulda – a lively music room for young pianists”.
On the eve of Friedrich Gulda’s birthday, his son Paul has prepared a colourful programme: He and some of his best students will play and sing.
The idols Bach, Mozart, Beethoven must not be missing, there will be works by Gulda(s) and improvised pieces, but also short excursions to Bruckner, Mahler and Schönberg, justified by time and place.
