Dive into the world of plant scents with Merle Bergers, founder and perfumer of Lingua Planta. With a background in design from the Design Academy Eindhoven, Merle's interest in plants and fragrances deepened, influenced by the works of forester and ecologist Peter Wohlleben and writer and biologist  Robin Wall Kimmerer. Born from the fascination with how plants communicate through their fragrances, Lingua Planta has its roots deep in scientific research but found an aesthetic translation in perfumes, offering a unique perspective on the natural world.

Join Merle on a sensory journey into the world of natural scents, where you'll have the opportunity to craft your own fragrance. The workshop will be held in English and will take place in all weathers.

Gravity and Growth

To what extent is the human being a part of nature and how can we shape a sustainable world? The alpine garden in Bad Aussee is known as an oasis of botanical diversity. In times where knowledge regarding landscape and gardening is becoming increasingly lost, its significance as a place of recreation and mediation must be emphasized. In this project, it serves as a basis and space of yearning for the scientific and artistic examination of biodiversity, ecosystems as well as nature- friendly sustainability strategies and the relationship of human beings to the pre-alpine and alpine landscapes.
