New Year's Concert - the traditional musical start to the new year 2024

The New Year's Concerts have been a tradition in Bad Ischl for many decades and have become a natural trademark of the town alongside the Lehár Festival and the spa music. 
The Salzkammergut and its composers were the pioneers, so to speak, because this is where the masters of "light muse" spent their summer months. 
In the first concert of the Capital of Culture Year 2024, the orchestra, vocal soloists from Austrian operetta stages and friends will have a lively and cheerful get-together in Bad Ischl. Giuseppe Verdi's Sinfonia (Overture) to the freedom opera Nabucodonosor is on the programme, as is Josef Strauss' masterful Delirien Waltz.
Verena Scheitz, popular ORF presenter and cabaret artist will accompany the audience through the programme in a humorous, informative and charming manner.
