Description

With: Gabriel Felbermayr, economist, Helga Kromp-Kolb, meteorologist and climate researcher, Rainer Münz, sociologist. Moderation: Marlene Nowotny, ORF Austria 1
Rotary Club Bad Ischl (project organiser)

"The exit from the current system can only succeed through sufficiency, i.e. reduced demands, which is expressed in a changed self-image and a changed attitude towards nature - increased efficiency and a circular economy are not enough". (Helga Kromp-Kolb)

In this World Salon, the focus is on a topic that concerns us all - the climate and its change. There are already devastating effects due to rising temperatures. People are being forced to flee and build a new life elsewhere. Experts from various disciplines will discuss the geopolitical and social consequences of climate-related migration movements.

World Salon

The World Salon takes up the idea of the historical salon concept as a social meeting place between the public and private spheres, as a place of exchange on topics such as politics, culture and economics. Representatives of communities and experts discuss historical immigration and emigration.
