Description

Learn more about traditional incense burning with local herbs and resins. Make your own incense mixture and find out more about the festivals of the year. A pitch ointment is also made from local spruce resin - the all-rounder in the medicine cabinet.

Gravity and Growth

To what extent is the human being a part of nature and how can we shape a sustainable world? The alpine garden in Bad Aussee is known as an oasis of botanical diversity. In times where knowledge regarding landscape and gardening is becoming increasingly lost, its significance as a place of recreation and mediation must be emphasized. In this project, it serves as a basis and space of yearning for the scientific and artistic examination of biodiversity, ecosystems as well as nature- friendly sustainability strategies and the relationship of human beings to the pre-alpine and alpine landscapes.
