Church.Sound.Space
Together with the European Capital of Culture Bad Ischl Salzkammergut 2024, the new programme section “Kirch.Klang.Raum” opens up the freedom of improvisation.
In Bad Ischl, the newly restored Bruckner organ in the parish church will be the centrepiece and highlight of the programme: not only will the Bruckner anniversary be celebrated on this imposing instrument in an unusual harmony, but the motto “Organ moves!” will also be proclaimed for the first time. In the three-day furious finale of an international competition, renowned jury members as well as young finalists improvise to old silent film classics.
