Description

Born in Chile, Héctor Ariel Olguin lives and works as a photographer and designer in Paris. He has exhibited in Europe, South America and Japan. In Altaussee, he will meet the local Sardinian goldsmith and cutler Andrea Delogu - together they will work on contemporary embroidery designs with students from the Ebensee Fashion School.

The two artists in residence Héctor Ariel Olguin and Andrea Delogu give an insight into their residencies as well as their life and work between art and craft.

Encounters

The Chilean-French textile artist Héctor Ariel Olguin takes a fresh look at the topics of embroidery design and traditional costume, together with Ebensee Fashion School.
The fashion students already worked on garments to be embroidered in winter 23/24. During a preparatory workshop with Renata Samojedna they were able to gather embroidery skills.
Together with Héctor, they do not only create contemporary embroidery designs, but also take part in two photo shoots as models. With his very own style as a photographer he presents garments from Hand.Werk.Haus Salzkammergut businesses in an unusual light.
During his residency, Héctor also meets with the Sardinian goldsmith artist Andrea Delogu, who is based in Altaussee. Together with Héctor he artistically supports the students of Ebensee Fashion School in their embroidery design project, Andrea also creates his own goldsmith work during his residency.
