Description

Using experimental approaches, four performers and musicians dedicate themselves to traditional live Alpine music, group dances and ritualistic practices.

They liberate these from conservatism and conventions, establish a fusion of artistic new interpretations and temporary social meanings. Going far beyond all categorizations and compartmentalized thinking, the Sons of Sissy live up to their name: at times, they present themselves as a quirky folk music quartet, at times as an experimentally playful ritual dance combination and break the traditional customary male role models in a radical and humorous manner.
