Together we will get to know and collect typical midsummer herbs and make a traditional midsummer bush. Wild herbs that are collected at midsummer are said to have a particularly strong healing effect. The midsummer bush is said to protect the house and farm as well as people and animals from harm.

Gravity and Growth

To what extent is the human being a part of nature and how can we shape a sustainable world? The alpine garden in Bad Aussee is known as an oasis of botanical diversity. In times where knowledge regarding landscape and gardening is becoming increasingly lost, its significance as a place of recreation and mediation must be emphasized. In this project, it serves as a basis and space of yearning for the scientific and artistic examination of biodiversity, ecosystems as well as nature- friendly sustainability strategies and the relationship of human beings to the pre-alpine and alpine landscapes.
