Mystery 19 Visual Arts Initiator III – But Don’t Tell Anyone, curated by Joanna Warsza

An artist-in-residence programme and exhibition on initiation and secrecy. Revisiting the Eleusinian mysteries in dialogue with the Archeological Site of Eleusis.

2023 Eleusis European Capital of Culture announces an open call for artists from the field of visual arts in public space (installation, video art, performance, sculpture, etc.). 

The 3rd edition of the artist-in-residence program, is titled Mystery 19 Visual Arts Initiator III – But Don’t Tell Anyone will take place in two phases, in May and October 2023. 

The selected artists are invited to stay in the city, experiment and conceive a site responsive project, revisiting the Eleusinian mysteries in dialogue with the Archeological Site and the Archaeological Museum of Elefsina, under the guidance and supervision of the internationally acclaimed curator Joanna Warsza and five fellow artists.

Die Kulturhauptstadt 2024 und der Traunsee Halbmarathon 2023 suchen junge Musiker*innen und Bands für die musikalische Begleitung der Läufer*innen am 24.6.2023 um 19:08 Uhr im Stadtzentrum in Gmunden. Alle Genres – von Rock, Hip Hop, Electronic bis Volksmusik oder Klassik – sind herzlich willkommen die Teilnehmer*innen auf den letzten Metern zu motivieren. 

NEXT GENERATION YOU ist das partizipative Jugendprogramm der Kulturhauptstadt 2024, wobei Jugendliche aufgefordert sind, sich aktiv zu beteiligen. Die NEXT GENERATION YOU Stage beim Traunsee Halbmarathon 2023 verschafft jungen Nachwuchskünstler*innen die Möglichkeit sich vor einem breiten Publikum zu präsentieren. The House of Arts Veszprém calls for applications for street art / public art projects in public spaces in the city of Veszprém. The project is linked to the Veszprém-Balaton 2023 European Capital of Culture programme. The works will be created/installed on site between 1 May 2023 and 30 September 2023.

Deadline for entries: 9 April 2023.

Invitation to apply for the Open Calls of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025

Kulturhauptstadt Europas Chemnitz 2025 GmbH is working under the motto “C the Unseen” to place a key focus on activities in the areas of socioculture, art, tinkerer and maker culture, food and eating culture, the environment, sustainability, children’s, youth and senior citizens’ activities as well as other areas of society and culture. Open Call for a public outdoor Installation/mural at the Ice Age Centre, Äksi/Southern Estonia.

We are pleased to announce an open call for an artist or artist group to create an outside piece for the facade of the Ice Age Centre building in Äksi, Estonia. The unveiling of the wall piece will be the first in a series of events such as exhibitions, performances, and workshops within the project Look into my Ice organised by the MTÜ Eesti-Saksa Kunstikoostöö (Association for Estonian-German cultural and art exchange) and curated by Maria Helen Känd between 2023 and 2024. Look into my Ice is a part of the European Capital of Culture Tartu 2024 programme.
