Following the successful launch of "Ischl, denkmalerisch", the "Damals?" project is taking the next step. We invite you to explore Ischl's urban space on Saturday, 6 April. What stories do the monuments and memorials tell and how do they relate to National Socialism?

We have received suggestions for this, which we are very happy to take up. In addition to the connection between Franz Lehár and Bad Ischl, the public memory of Oscar Straus and the Villa Haenel-Pancera will be the focus of our tour.

Information and registration at sylvi@gfa.or.at or +43-650-7004717.

Damals?

What does it mean to be human? What does the Nazi era have to do with us and the world today? The project wants to encourage people to talk about the Nazi era, to listen and to ask questions.

An excursion to Switzerland encouraged Thalgau’s local politicians. They came up with ideas for the seemingly unsolvable traffic situation. Where 8,000 vehicles roared through the village, they created a missing village square and the first meeting zone on a country road in Austria.
On the bus journey, we learn about architectural guidelines for Ebensee and get in the mood for Vöcklabruck. There, an agenda process has been able to initiate concrete projects to revitalise the town centre. Along the way, an architectural jewel of the Salzkammergut proves that remodelling culture is the future.

Meeting point: 12:50 car park Landungsplatz Ebensee (departure 13:00)
Arrival: 21:30 Ebensee
Registration required: anmeldung@landluft.at, packed lunch on the bus

Programme

  • Conversion of Unterach am Attersee kindergarten
    dunkelschwarz, Hohengasser Wirnsberger Architects
  • Building culture community Thalgau

  • “Small town biotope” Vöcklabruck
    Petra Wimmer (Chairwoman)

Dinner at the pizzeria “de Michele” in Vöcklabruck (pizza world champion 2023)

ASRAPHAEL – Hermann Markus Preßl https://www.salzkammergut-2024.at/en/veranstaltungen/art-your-village-willi-dorner-6/ Fri, 24 Nov 2023 12:37:23 +0000 https://www.salzkammergut-2024.at/veranstaltungen/art-your-village-willi-dorner-6/ The choreographer and artist Willi Dorner dedicates an extraordinary homage to the Bad Aussee composer and music researcher Hermann Markus Preßl. In the form of a musical walk through the town, a varied insight into Preßl's musical work is offered. Selected pieces will be performed at various locations in the city. The walk concludes with the spectacular world premiere of Novelette: four brass bands enter the town from different directions and gradually disperse, after which the individual musicians disperse around the town centre and continue to play, infusing and permeating Bad Aussee with music;
